I've still yet to find anything that properly replaces a good Gibson, though .
I spoke to Barry Gibson (Burns owner) a little while back and he said they were looking to make and market some of that model this year / next year.
Mine doesn't have the scroll headstock like the production ones, which are not to everyone's taste.
The Rez-O-Tube bridge rings for days, it's got a spiltable HB in the neck and a single in the bridge, the semi hollow body with the neck sounds a little 335ish with the tone rolled off.
Brilliant guitar, so much character.
90s Orville by Gibson 335 59 Reissue. Brilliant vintage feeling 335.
Peerless Korea made Epi Dot which is brilliant. Upgraded with Gibson 57 classic pups
Peerless Songbird is my Epi Casino given I prefer chunkier necks
Couple of partscaster strats - one a RW board, gold HW John Mayer and another a 2 tone burst Clapton strat
A lovely custom build Tele 52 that compares very closely well to my CS 52 Tele
Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

Suhr Classic T with chambered body and contours.
With Fender and Gibson, the mods seem to be an inevitable part of the process.
So the question is whether you like a challenge / want to work at it or you want perfection out of the box
..I think both are valid, but personally I get more from going on that journey.
Justification: The SG2k can do 95% of what an LP can do and has the same high-fret accessibility of an SG. The SA2200 doesn't sound like a 335 but is an equally lovable guitar in its own right and any lover of slimline semis who likes 335s ought to recognise the SA2200 as an equally classy instrument. I am priveliged to own decent examples of all of these guitars, and have done so for several years. I do lurve the mojo of a decent Gibbo but I can't recommend too highly Yamaha's classy alternatives.
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
I think the Ibanez RG and PRS Custom are great guitars as well.
