    I watched the video from the PRS dealer sales event the other day and thought how drab they've all become...a sea of greyness.

    Agreed... the stock colour chart is super mega boring at the moment.

    2015 was the last time it was interesting. Lots of “classics” like Royal Blue, Scarlet Red and a
    colour called “Honey” that was halfway between vintage yellow and natural that was killer...

    Here's all my prs guitars

    I don't think I will be adding to the collection :-p
    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    There's been a recent run of monochrome SE's, otherwise, the colours are as they've always been.

    @ellwood, Jesus, mate, almost as impressive as your Les Paul collection!

    @andy1839 @webrthomson @mspeach stunning, guys!

    @Jonathanthomas83  I pretty much think I might be gassing for another Tremonti now - and would one day like a 513. As soon as my CS Strat goes I will be having a look around!

    Wrong. Take the Core range, even the once bright Cherry burst has become Charcoal Cherry burst. There's no Honey, no Vintage Yellow, no Royal Blue, Scarlet Red. Its like fifty shades of Amalgam. Only Aquamarine looks remotely vibrant.

    I laughed at John Mayer's explanation for the dull range $ilver Sky colours, he wanted the colours to reflect a modern guitar...what a guitar should look like today in 2018 so no sunbursts. Yep, well done John.....you pretty much managed to replicate the colour chart of the 1989 Fender Clapton Strat...with a black, a grey and a dull red...really modern that some 29 years later....lol.

  • Some of those colours weren't all that vibrant, mate. But they've been replaced with different colours. Gibson does the same every year too. I'm a fan of the new colours, so it's fine for my tastes. Anyway, I didn't start the thread to argue about that anyway...on with the cool pictures!
