WTB Stratocaster - but must have..
What's Hot
Either a nice rounded handful of a neck or a chunky soft V ala Tele Baja'esce.
Lightweight 7.5lbls and under - Nitro would be good too!
Preferably worn in/vintage vibe and not shiny and new with frets no bigger than Medium - don't like train tracks.
Does not have to be Fender, so partscasters and other makes considered
Up to 1K £500 (budget slashed due to GASage)
Comments
The neck is a nice fullsome maple Fernandes 'The Function' one. Its got a separate maple board (about 10in rad IIRC) with 22 frets - medium jobs.
Pickups are GFS Greybottoms - the late 60s clones GFS made. These are fab. These are mated to high quality US pots/switch etc and it has a push pull pot on the bottom tone control to bring in series paralell options, all three on together etc. LOADS of sounds.
Its currently fitted with a Callaham bridge that I was going to sell separately, but if you want the complete guitar I could do a deal with you.
I will be asking significantly less than 1k for it... even with the Callaham bridge. Quite happy to part it out, too.
I've owned this for more than 10 years - its a great Strat. The only reason I'm selling it is the neck gives my hands cramps - I don't get on with big necks, sadly.
If you're interested I could grab some pics tonight.
Pics would be good thanks and price with and without bridge - cheers!
gig local to you tomorrow if you want to try it
I'd be looking for £200 without the bridge and £300 with...
No, I was just wondering that's all.

Sounds like it might meet your specs. It is over budget but at least the rest of us would have a first hand review of one without having to fork out ourselves.
