I actually prefer Sonic Temple as a "Rock" Cult album, mainly because I like the more produced sound rather than the stark sounds on Electric.
But, in saying that, Classic Cult has to be either Dreamtime or Love
Electric was one of the first albums I bought though so it is still pretty special to me.

Football is rubbish.
Eat'em and Smile (D. Lee Roth)
Appetite for Destruction (Guns N' Roses)
And I'm not sure how we're defining hard rock....
Trouble - Manic Frustration
King's X - Out of the Silent Planet
Tesla - The Great Radio Controversy
Circle of Soul - Hands of Faith
Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus
Montrose - Montrose
Scorpions - Love at First Sting
Def Leppard - High 'n' Dry
AC/DC - Powerage
I'd go with S/T over Manic maybe but Psalm.9 is easily in the top ten metal albums of all time.
Broadly, I'd say from early Boston through to Metallica. Not bothered about splitting it into sub-divisions. We know it when we hear it.
Great to have some new listening suggestions here, ta.
Good call, I like On Through The Night too.
