it's straight off a semi-industrial sewing machine. i have one with pedal almost identical on my lil vintage machine.
strong motors. will sew through dense felt and 2mm leather. and very pedal responsive re variable speed. last ages too. my machine is 1960s and still going strong. i bet his wife was furious when that disappeared to his workshop!

i bought mine from a charity shop in early 2000s for £18 i think. but regularly see them on ebay as collection for under £30. brothers, singers. all metal ones (casing and gears) are best.

Macaris have re-introduced the Coloursound pedals; they're quite pricey, but apparently the originals go for over a grand!
