I've had a dog piss on one of my old guitars (my playing must have been great).
Now that I've got a small room with my guitars in, every now and then I'll hear a "twang". I'll go into the room and find the cat trying to pull a string off with her teeth..
She's already pulled one string off, I stopped her from chewing the end of the tremolo arm on a strat yesterday.
Just wondered if anyone else has a little weirdo of a cat. I think she likes to try and chew things to gauge them...including a brand new clothes horse, models of deloreans and cat toys.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

Before that, however, one of ours used to casually chew on the horn of my Les Paul (Studio, fortunately).
Cats do love an open guitar case - when I had a couple of cats here I used to reckon that even if no cats were in sight, a case only had to be left open for a few seconds before one or the other would be sitting in it.
My cat loves bits of string, shoe laces, and laptops / mobile phones.
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
Commercial opportunity there, I reckon.
