Thinking about experimenting with creating a compensated nut for a problematic short-scale guitar I have. I'll be following the guidelines of the estimable Simcha Delft:
Thing is, it needs a few VERY thin pieces of bone (or corian, or Tusq), anything between 1.0mm right down to 0.5mm or even less.
Is this kind of thing available pre-cut anywhere?

Bone would be a better choice I think. I've got some saddle offcuts if you'd like them?
