After a few years of keeping an eye out I finally got a 93 black CE24 with natural binding.

Needs a new nut though as it looks like MDPhilips did it! Plays great though ..

In fairness it is quite easy to get confused between a nut file and a butter knife.

Congrats on the guitar!  I love the look of plain colour PRS with binding.  Looks smart.

Damn, don't they look nice without all that stripey/blotchy wood they usually have?

    Serious-looking musical instrument, that.

^ I normally prefer the flamey ones... but that black one looks excellent. I find most black guitars a little bit boring (the safe colour choice, really), but a few look absolutely badass. That's one of them.

I'm very pleased. I bought it sight unseen from the US - only seen 2 FS in last 2 years , one on eBay I missed and this which I saw on GBase. Even the MDPhilips nut doesn't disappoint too much :-)

Was the one from the US a maple boarded '97 by any chance?

I ended up getting one for a steal at like ~£600 after import duty etc, it's long gone now though.

Nah was rosewood - was a 91 I think , 600 before tax so would have been about £800 - 900 all in. Someone BIN before I hit there . Was listed for like 35mims before being sold /
