Okay, so MCFC are going to be investigated regarding FFP - In some ways it is easy to say fair enough and I don't mean that in a vindictive way - Yet such issues are fairly rife and not just for the biggest clubs - Leicester, QPR and Bournemouth all recently broke FFP to get promoted from the EFL - The fines they received from the EFL were ultra small in comparison to the gains the Premier League offers - Derby have probably just avoided FFP investigation, as Mel Morris, the owner, sold Pride Park to a company he owns - So effectively he is now the landlord and club owner
So easy to join the band wagon and say bring it on ref MCFC - PSG are still under investigation, again !!!! - And I believe MCFC are also under investigation for the junior recruitment policy - Is this a similar issue to that of Chelsea
However I do agree that if punishment is to be issued for FFP, then it needs to be something like a European ban and/or points deduction - No use issuing a paltry fine as it is just a tax deductible 'offence' that the rich owners can easily afford - A points deduction should be far more effective and again I'd favour this over any transfer ban and/or limit on players available for the Champions league (this is how they 'fined' PSG back in 2014 with only 21 players allowed - 21 players is still just about 2 teams, so not really any punishment at all )

Why do we think this is a new thing. It always went on many many decades ago, but was dealt with in brown envelopes.
So a team getting into the Champions League should be excluded. If they broke the rules to win a trophy/championship they should be stripped of that. If they did it to avoid relegation they should be relegated.
Also worth remembering, that whilst UEFA are investigating PSG, they appointed the president of PSG onto their executive committee... no bias... none... at all...sure.
However, it is now front page news on many sites, so UEFA might feel some pressure
For example the top few teams are what's stopping F1 improving to make it a fairer and more watchable sport. The pigs that are first in the trough are happy where they are.
Didn't Glasgow Rangers get relegated to bottom tier for similar misdemeanours?
UEFA and FIFA are corrupt like many organisations are, but they still apply rules that competitors are accountable to - If MCFC don't want to abide by them, then they can set up and own their own league structure - But whilst they want to play in UEFA's league they should abide by the rules - Ditto all clubs etc
Barca and Real have some seriously dodgy dealings too, just maybe in a slightly different way.
It's time to decide if they want the rule or not, it's like not banning athletes for using band substances, either everyone can do it or no one surely?.
I'm genuinely surprised teams sticking to the rules in the respective leagues/tournaments having already made some kind of legal challenge.
perhaps all the guitar companies should do the same. Every manufacturer, whether fender or Dave Dogs Guitars should all have the same amount of money and it will just be about talent.
Bastards...plan B.....
Rangers went into liquidation, i.e. they actually went bust. When that happened they were kicked out of the SPL.
A successor company acquired the assets under a new corporate identity and were ultimately accepted into the bottom tier of the SFL under a conditional membership.
There are 11 on the field at a time, but in this day and age football at the top is very much a squad game, and a team having infinite money not only means they can afford 22 world class players but also they buy players to prevent others buying them, then add in it inflates the market so even players the big boys don't want now cost the smaller teams double.
As mentioned above teams agreed to the rules, they don't have to play in European competitions if they don't like the rules.
Ran away with the premier league and quarter finals of Champions League
and how many times have Man City won the Champions League?
And Chelsea have run away with it so many times too
Leicester was a freak year, and probably won't happen again for another 50 years or more.
Chelsea won plenty once they were backed with Russian money. Not seeing your point.
