I met this company in January 2018.... they were showcasing their guitars in the master luthier part of NAMM. Anyway my eye was drawn to their guitars like a Moth to a flame .... well that and Chris Vinnicombe suggested i should check them out..... Anyway Frank Brothers guitars are a small company based in Canada, their attention to detail is just astonishing and i decided after a year of lusting to place an order for a custom guitar.... in my favourite colour, Purple.
so highlights are
lollar low wind imperials (incredible btw)
maple cap
mahogany back and neck
ebony fretboard
gotoh locking tuners
clear pick guard, pickup surrounds, truss rod cover and control cavity. All back painted metallic purple. The pickup surrounds were a surprise for me but really made me smile (and the provided black just in case i wasn't certain.
anyway the Guitar came in an awesome vintage brown case, this was in a custom fitted protective cardboard sleeve then placed in a cardboard outer.
it is effortless to play, sounds massive, sounds huge unplugged and to my mind looks astonishing and ORIGINAL.

But I do love it. Doubt that’s going to make sense to anyone but me.

That looks like something you would play if you were the rhythm guitarist for Prince. That is no bad thing at all.
Cool stuff.
Very cool...
I'd want a short scale myself but thats absolutely one of the coolest guitars anyone on this forum owns.
Love it!
