Does anyone have any info/insight into the new ES-345?

Doesnt have the varitone switch so looks more like a 335, but has the awesome parallelogram fingerboard. Always loved the look of these fretboards over the standard 335, and that price seems very affordable

345 is the coolest of the es imo. Bloody like gold dust too!

Was looking at these yesterday. Not really a 345 but I really want one.

    Prefer the Red one.

Fail. No Varitone means it's just a 335 with different fingerboard inlays. They're my favourite inlays too, but...

Should have gold hardware too. I’m not normally a fan really, but it needs it.

I'm confused because last year I got a 2020 LP modern, and a 2020 LP Jr and now these are also the 2020 range?

They did a limited edition black one last year with a Maestro. Picked one up secondhand and it's a fabulous guitar...

Much better for me without the Varitone imo. Absolute Tone suckers those things.
I've had two in the past. Stunning to look out but the sound was always really frustrating. Think I prefer the non gold hardware also.

I think the fingerboard, no varitone and no gold hardware are all the things I like, ha ha!

Wouldn't really bother me if it wasn’t a “real” 345. It is strange why they’ve called it a 345 instead of 335 with a different fretboard

Yep same here I love it but it's clearly not a 345.

  • Errrr... that is NOT a 345... its pretend.

Surely the varitone and possibly mono/stereo sockets would be needed.

I have an ES-345. The big V never bothered me.  Please start the B.B. King used one debate.

I’m kind of disappointed there hasn’t been a varitone debate that’s already been done a million times again on this thread.
