Asking for a friend who has had "Chord Chemistry" propped open on a music stand for like 2 years but whose eyes seem to just pass over it.
It's good to look at different perspectives. This one is certainly very different to how I think about things.
For me it's somewhat confusing. Everything seems to be built on scales starting on the lowest note of the 5th or 6th string. So rather than think where the root notes are and build scales around that (both above and below the root note), the approach seems to be to view the scales as modes starting on the lowest note of the pattern on the 5th or 6th string.
Also, there's a very odd take on the pentatonic major which isn't introduced until lesson 51. That's not the common form.
Thanks for the PSA.
Thanks for the heads up.
