Given the recent discussions about Modmin activity it was blatant. And it clearly wasn’t going to stop any time soon.
You're like the fourth or fifth person who has described themselves as all super liberal and so on but who apparently can't bear to see a bloke talking about what he does with his missus after lights-out.
I think it's already been clarified that it was a bit of the guitar forum that's reserved for discussions about non-guitar topics, and that the forum rules specified that threads about sex were appropriate for BCD. I mean, you're presumably aware that people posted all kinds of threads there about stuff that has sod-all to do with music and haven't I assume complained about those or advocated they they should sod off to the relevant specialised forums, so what is it about this particular thread that drew your ire?

I didn't do it to challenge the mods or to make them look stupid. I did it because I thought it was funny and would make people laugh. I didn't expect it to result in the reaction it got and certainly not the removal of the whole BCD section. I regret very much that my attempts at puerile humour has resulted in the loss of BCD. Sorry :-(
Offset "(Emp) - a little heavy on the hyperbole."
Warning, coolering and banning these people is just an eternal game of whack-a-mole, so yes - it's an overreaction to an individual incident, but this is definitely a case of "be careful what you ask for". I've given all those people exactly what they wanted - this is what happens when we give in to everyone's demands.
Turns out the majority of folk don't actually like it. Who knew?
(not having a pop at you, by the way - I appreciate the part of your post that I didn't quote!)
It has all become somewhat depressing.
EDIT: Loaded's final issue was published in May 2015
One of the ‘admins’ used to park her shitty Fiesta over my drive constantly, and she had in massive vinyl lettering
‘Admin - so and so forum’ plastered over the rear window.
I can think of members who are helpful, informative, funny, positive or some combination of all four. I seek out their wit and wisdom. I try to contribute some myself.
It would appear that some people still adhere to the notion that it is possible to “win” the Internet.
Perhaps, we are not all that different?
