Sorry to hear about your dad, mine died last year and I still think about him just about every day - mostly fondly, sometimes thinking what an annoying smartarse he could be... I'm kind of glad he's not around for 2020, he was in a nursing home and this year would've been dreadful.

That's a beautiful guitar, sorry I don't have anything similar I can share.

  • My dad went in December 2019, just before COVID hit - and I share your sentiments @Philly_Q - this year would indeed have been dreadful.

  • Sorry to hear about your dad, but I bet he'd have been really proud and touched by such a lovely tribute.

    That's a bloody lovely partscaster.

Brilliant and here’s to all lovely dads.

Love the idea of the birthday date.

That's a lovely tribute, I'm sure your dad would be so proud to see you playing that :)
I've posted about this guitar before; I had it made in memory of my girlfriend Nina, who was killed in a car accident in 2010:

I lost my younger brother 7 years ago........he was my best friend
Mutual friend had a stroke last week and I phoned my brother to tell him.......I got the phone out and started punching out the access code before I clicked back into realisation........I winced .
I think you have made a lovely tribute Jay .

  • Lost my Dad 3 years ago yesterday. I’ve got his 50(ish) year old classical guitar to play and remember him by

It is - we both used to spend a lot of time on b3ta.com and one of the other regulars made a gif that morphed from her face to her username and back again. I thought it would make a great graphic for a guitar, and I was right :)

What a lovely thing to do and it looks fantastic!  I lost my dad in late June and it’s still very raw.
My sentiments to you and your family.
