I'm missing a whammy bar for a bog standard bridge on a Korean SE custom 22. What size thread is it and where's easiest place I can get one for a sensible price?

    It is a push-in type.

Thomann sells 'em for a tenner, exc. shipping.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

I think it's the screw in type @Funkfingers. The hole is flush with the bridge surface. Looks like an threaded insert because it has a notch on either side to unscrew it. Don't the push in ones have a housing that sits above the bridge.

Also if I buy it from Thomann it'll cost me a couple of hundred quid because I'll buy other stuff I need(sic).

Nope. Just a black nylon collar, with two splits showing at the top, slightly recessed below the surface of the metal.

Yep that describes it @Funkfingers I shone a torch in there and it looks like it's threaded. Maybe they are just ribs to hold the bar. Does it have a spring or ball bearing under it or anything or is it just the wang bar?

The PRS are all push in types.  The SE is common with the S2 (4.55mm diameter), the core are slightly thicker at 4.75mm.  The Core won’t fit the S2 (I speak from experience).  The good news is that the SE / S2 version is about a quarter the price of the Core.

Result. I can use the money I save to buy another guitar.

I like your thought process.  I’m now working out how I can use your saving to justifying how I can buy another one for myself =)
