    The question is not 'why is it on eBay for £53' - the question is what facility did the poster smuggle it out of and why aren't the public being told about government experiments on helpless musical instruments?

    Looking at the switch and bridge, I suspect it probably started life as a 70s Japanese-made Strat copy like a CSL or something... but the pickups on those aren’t good, so I wouldn’t value the parts as high as £53.

    So either someone is overly optimistic about that or they actually want it as it is... it’s a strange world.

    I can’t believe 5 people wanted it..
     so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    I thought that if it is unique, it has to be rare too by default. In fact so rare that there is only one of them.
