What do people recommend on Amazon Prime? I've just signed up for month's free trial (mainly because I needed a few things quickly) so figured I'd try and get some use out of the month's Prime Video subscription while it lasts.
Truth Seekers. They've just announced no second series but it's what you'd want Dr Who to be.
I hadn't heard that.  It would've been interesting to see where they'd have gone with a second series.

I've always hated Dr Who and things like that, so not sure it would be my cup of tea!
    Err, maybe not then!

I think they've only said in the last day or so.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

On "normal" TV I find Would I Lie to You consistently funny, hilarious when Bob Mortimer is a guest.

Amazon Prime has Picard of course - which is excellent and well worth a watch if you like trek in any way shape or form

It also has Below Decks (I think it's called) the Trek animated series.

I watched quite a few old films on Talking Pictures when I was at my brother's house over Christmas.

I do love that stuff, the only thing I would say is that they promote a lot of their content as "lovingly digitally restored" but in fact nearly all of it looks terrible and VHS-like.  I watched a film called The Second Woman (with Robert Young and Betsy Drake) and it was a Spanish print (with English dialogue of course) - every time a letter or a piece of text appeared on screen, it was in Spanish!  I guess it's all public-domain stuff which they can get hold of cheaply.

Also Columbo cos I didn't see enough repeats of it.

    Spiral and The Bridge.

  • Spiral on bbc iplayer, Bosch on Amazon prime. Also on prime, quite a lot of music related documentary type programmes. Some are really good, much to my surprise. A couple on Stevie Ray Vaughan for example. The Rolling Stones totally stripped as well. Another on Duane Allman and so on.

Been watching Damien (on Fox). Features the bloke who played King Arthur in Merlin in the lead role of the kid from The Omen, only all grown up. Lots of flashbacks to the original film, so presumably it has some sort of official blessing. It’s not bad, has some tense moments and a fair bit of gore, horror fans will like it.

Have you tried the new series, Tin Star Liverpool ? We’re about 3 episodes in and it’s pretty good.

Yes, we watched it all the first weekend when it came out. Couldn't wait. Really good series from start to finish. If you like that I'd recommend Ozark if you haven't already seen it.
