    Creating the backing track is the hardest bit.

    It's not a competition.

    Creating the backing track is the hardest bit.

    Soloing over the top was the hardest bit, nearly threw guitar in pond :)

  • Wow...11 entries...big turn out this month and a lot of variety in there!

    5 points: @fastonebaz - really melodic and well executed...I would have liked to hear it without the harmoniser!
    3 points: @poopot - ferocious tone although it buried what was being played at times...which was quite a ride...kudos for the stamina-testing tapping section ;)
    1 point: @Dainty - great energy level...well played with a nice, juicy tone...loved the lick at 0:30

    Well done to everyone else...a few of those entries could encourage me to be brave enough to try a clean tone one month.

    Pog and a phaser... too much reverb in post and like a twat didn’t save the project... schoolboy error

  • Really liked the end section of @Bellycaster very catchy.

    Enjoyed mellow Eric Johnson esque vibes from @stratman3142 ;

    @poopot wins the most notes challenge with the epic tap fest :smile:

    Reckon @joeW and @jeroenvanhulsteijn ;would play an immense piece to a Julie London style jazz cover

    Compliments to @Logie sounds like a natural pro at this recording lark.

    Loved the stereo soloing of @Kasalic ;

    Can't believe @BluePlums managed to sample a cat meowing so well :wink:

    Splendid delay on @digitalkettle tone,  I need to work out how to dial that in.  Sounded like delay return bussed to right or something

    Overall enjoyed everyone's but my ear worm order is

    5pts @Bellycaster great opening, really caught my attention well played with that super harmony bend hook and catchy outtro
    3 pts @digitalkettle excellent composition tone and precision
    1 pt @joeW nice and jazzy, v precise picking

    Fantastic to have so many entries. Thanks to all participants. A great range of styles.

    5 points @digitalkettle : Great ideas. Nice tone. Good feel and articulate phrasing. You can really make those notes punch out on the fast phrases.

    3 points @Dainty : This was a very close run for first. I just felt that @digitalkettle's entry was a bit more adventurous. Good energy. There's a very distinctive personality and character to your playing.

    1 point @Bellycaster : Good melodic ideas, a juicy sound and a nice touch of harmony.

    It's not a competition.

    3 Points @fastonebaz - Very melodic and fitting, great effect with the harmoniser, really suited it.

    @fastonebaz ;Thanks! It's a dotted-eighth delay in my Neural 'Nolly' plugin...it's not set too crazy but there's quite a bit of modulation on it and it's set to ping-pong. Then there's some reverb on a bus which is coming from the superb/free Valhalla Supermassive plugin (slightly tweaked 'Reverb2000' preset).
