Natal Cafe Racer shell pack in seafoam green.

Really nice kit to record or gig on and very pleasing on the eye.

That looks like a good practical kit. How does the tulipwood sound? I have not played a tulipwood kit.

Very warm, but also snappy, short decay. Really nice for a fairly small recording space as there's not lots of frequencies hanging about after a hit.

    I really like it.

  • Here we go! Still some tweaking to do and the EQ pad to fit inside the kick, but already light years better sounding than the old kit.

I also bit the bullet and upgraded the snare too. 13" x 6.5" cafe racer gloss inlay. An absolute thing of beauty with a lovely sound.

Looks great Chris. Any clips of it in action? I promise Randallflagg won’t comment on it.

Further tweaks in my quest to get a really good recording base.

Moved the kit more central in the room, added a 10" Agean Jazz Splash and a Zildjian A Custom 18" crash and some new, more stable hardware.

That's two compelling arguements for Don't Fear the Reaper :)
