Q2: Where in the world/country are you? Surrey
Q3: What's your main musical ambition? Just to keep playing as long as I can and to keep improving.
Q4: Your "best" bit of gear - just the one? At the moment that would be a Fender Strat Elite (best but not favourite), I do change my gear like socks though

Q2: Where in the world/country are you? I'm originally from the great city of Liverpool, home of the greatest band in the history of modern music, but live just over the county border in a not very leafy part of Cheshire.
Q3: What's your main musical ambition? To be a competent player and competent enough to play in public and/or a cover band one day. A far flung hope would be to be able to teach music one day too as I enjoy theory and the practical side of music. I come from a sports coaching background, therefore I feel I can communicate pretty well.Unfortunately starting playing in my early 50s may make this hope simply a pipe dream.
Q4: Your "best" bit of gear - just the one? I don't own much gear at present but the old Squier Fender Jumbo acoustic I took off my son,who didnt fancy guitar, plays and sounds really nice as I had it set up professionally to get started.
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one? Wow,this is a hell of a question and like many others it changes often as I like many different songs and from a few different genres. But in the spirit of the question and website I will say 'When you Walk in the Room' by The Searchers over the original Jackie De Shannon version, mainly because of the brilliant guitar parts in it.
Greetings.
I've lurked a bit, thought I'd make it more official. I play bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards. I've been a semi-pro bass player, toured the US, and recorded in NYC studios, but I'm a hobbyist on the others, trying to learn as much as I'm able. I've recorded and have music online, much of it actually listenable.
I play pretty good gear gotten as cheaply as possible as well as I can, and will continue to do so. I've recently gotten some new guitar stuff, I may post about that.
