Came across this, someone has uploaded the Beat it solo part as a backing track so you can have a go at being Eddie so I had to have a go ... far from perfect but tried to get the general vibe and phrases ... obviously got no trem on this guitar

    Awesome @Danny1969 . Some evh solos are chuffing hard though! Well all are pretty tough. I started ‘ice cream man’ only to discover it has an insane stretch and I think this does too so you have made a cracking job of it!

     @rsvmark I struggle with Ice cream man too, I can do it but it doesn't sound quite right, it's just such a big stretch in a position we don't come across in any other playing so the fingers just aren't used to it. 
    But it's stuff like that which made him so unique really.

    Very nicely done..

    I had a go this morning and I learned two things: 

    I can't remember the solo at all
    I am no longer any good at tapping

    I will spare you the results as it sounded like a very noise, woolly mess :)
