My husband, NervousJohn, died peacefully on 13th May, after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer in January that was untreatable. I don't know how prolific he was on this board, but I just to post a short message.
He was in a local band called 68 Limbs, and prior to that one called Nervous Pills. We shared a love of good music and went to many many gigs and festivals together over the last 21 years.
I am no musician however our 7 year old son has clearly inherited our good taste - his loves are Little Richard, Dolly Parton, The Sadies, Bernard Cribbins, King Creosote, Credence, Karen O and Dangermouse, Nick Cope, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Beatles and Stones obvs, Chuck Berry.....
It hurt my husband deeply, the knowledge that he would not live to teach our son to play. Our wee boy, however, has now inherited a Gretsch and a 12 string Rickenbacker, along with a vintage VOX AC30, so I will ensure he follows in his dad's footsteps!
Wishing you all the best,
Mrs NervousJohn

Hopefully Nervous Jnr will also be a member here one day.
Kindest regards.
Sorry for your loss, and thank you for letting us all know, that must have been hard. We would never have guessed anything was wrong from his previous posts, he always seemed positive and enthusiastic.
Your son will have a good example to follow.
Best wishes.
