I know I am the epitome of all the gear and no idea, but, despite at least 7 bummed notes (esp the big B string bends), I do believe I've gotten as close to the PULSE Live tone as any mere mortal has ever managed to achieve.

The signal chain to get there is substantial- you can hear the amps cooking and burbling even with the vol off on the guitar....

1959 Strat into FatGeneral Compressor>ChandlerTubeDriver>CivilWarMuff>BossEQ200>DeepOgginChorus>Camoflange>CornishTES (440ms) into a 1974 Hiwatt SA212 and a 1963 Vibroverb 2x10.

There's a little trick with the muff- if you zero the EQ it sort of removes the tone stack from the muff, then max the gain on 100% and you get that compressed 'tunnel' sustain that characterises the PULSE tour.

Anyway, I know there's a few (quite a lot actually) bum notes, but I do think the TONAZ speak for themselves.

It's certainly better than the Scissor Sisters version.

    Nice work
    Thanks,

it doesn’t take much to nail the tone… telecaster, 5e3 and some delay/reverb and you’re there…

It's easy to replicate tones. Making original ones, that's the trick!

Forgot to say… as well as the tele the essential item of gear to nail the comfy tone is of course a fake tit…

As you can see from my clip… not worn on the left… make sure it’s “a right tit” and you’ll be golden!!!!!
