Really sad - I saw them at the Manchester Apollo in 1983 - they were jaw-droppingly good. RIP Dusty - thank you for the music.

    Oooh... fuck!

I saw a news story the other day that they'd played a gig with Billy's guitar tech standing in on bass.  I was not expecting this.

Sad news, I remember watching them on OGWT in 1980 doing Cheap Sunglasses whilst trying to finish my homework...then covering "Francine" many times.

My favourite Top song, and a great duet.

    Really sad about this.

Has there ever been a band with an unchanged lineup as long as the Top?

Tres hombres become dos.  RIP Dusty.

Aww jeez. He’s had health issues for a long time but it’s still a shock to hear he’s gone. Wonder if the band will keep going with Elwood or call it a day now?

    RIP Dusty.

RIP Dusty. I love a bit of Top especially the 70s stuff. I'll dig out Rio Grande Mud out later.

My favourite Top song, and a great duet.

    Really sad about this.

That's my favourite too, I've never understood why it's not seen as one of their absolute classics.  And although I'm not a huge ZZ Top or Billy Gibbons fan, the solo is one of my absolute favourite guitar solos, by anybody, I just love the way it's structured.

      :'(

Glad I saw them live in Glasgow, 2017 for what was their final UK tour.

Monumentally underrated band these days. The first 5-6 albums especially (and that’s before they achieved more commercial success with Eliminator).

My most played on the iPod - Love ZZTop

RIP Dusty - All round cool

If you haven't listened to their first album, it's probably their best. Brown Sugar is monster.

Wouldn’t say I’m the worlds biggest Zz Top fan but I do love a few of their songs. Seriously cool guys who played to their strengths and with style. A shame to see a cool old rocker pass on.
