"Oh for flip's sake Bond - I've just about had it with all these shenanigans."

I can see them just doing more Bond films with another actor. As has been said, each new Bond actor starts a new story arc. In fact, I think the Craig ones have been the only films where there is a continual theme and story all the way through. We could see a return to the standalone films of old.
Whatever they do, it's big money and I look forward to it.
Some thin bits of plot in this new one though. Notably, we never got to understand how Blofeld got the link up to his bionic eye? Was it through Madeleine? If so, how, why?
How come Bond just accepted Q's word on the nano virus or whatever it was? Pretty big decision to make
I'll watch it again, enjoyed it a lot
The two lengthy pre-credits sequences are absolutely spectacular. Once it gets into the MI6/CIA/Spectre stuff it feels a bit more like standard Bond fare... the bit in Cuba is very silly, although Ana de Armas is wonderful (shame she's not in it more, but I'm very glad they didn't kill her off). Rami Malek is, as reported, dullsville as the main villain ("we have more in common than you realise Mr Bond...". Yawn.). I'm not sure the new 007 actually adds very much although she's fine. The Russian scientist is very irritating.
As for the big shock ending.... I'm not sure how I feel about it. For a start it's not particularly shocking, and you know the character's coming back anyway, so it lacks a bit of emotional impact, although all concerned play it very well. I don't think they needed to kill Bond off, although it's certainly a definitive end to the Daniel Craig era.
Where do they go next? Bond is unique, whenever they replace the lead actor there's never really any suggestion that it's the same person - although it is! - and there's no real continuity of the storylines. I don't think they'll go back and set it in the 1950s or something, Bond has always had a contemporary setting and I'd be surprised if they change that. But it is a strange situation they've created, can you just ignore the fact that Bond (and Leiter and Blofeld) actually died in the previous film? It'll be interesting to see where they take it.
(Oh, 163 minutes and I never fell asleep. Go me!)
I actually don't think the current story should impact the next. They should change up a few of the characters and simply reboot it.

Of course Leiter is one of the most "replaceable" characters in the whole franchise, there have been more Leiters than Bonds!
He's not in it. I think there's another CIA character who does get killed.
Not watched that one in a loooooooong time though.

Right from Dr No I always thought the recruitment process for job vacancies the villain had open would be problematic.

I was a little surprised that Jaguar Landrover ( who I assume paid money for product placement / association with the film?) allowed so many of their Range Rovers to be bounced off so easily by a tatty old Toyota Landcruiser? I mean we all know that that's what would happen in real life but even so, as a manufacturer paying money, I'd want my menacing 4WD bouncing everyone else's off the road?
