Help from Mac/Ableton wizards please?

I'm wanting to do some work remotely for my friend who's running Ableton 11 on a newish M1 mac mini with Big Sur.

If he sends me a project will I still be able to open and work on it on an older mac that's running Catalina?

It's early days yet but I need to know if it's doable or if I need to buy a newer mac first..

As long as your both on Live 11, and I guess the same level (lite, studio, suit) you should be fine. Only issue may be if he’s on the beta (I’ve just downloaded it as I’m on a M1 Mac, and the beta runs natively)

if you send me a project I can open it and save it back out to see if it works if you need. I’m on 11 suite beta
