How to tell when all the finish is gone?

So I've been slowly but surely sanding the finish off my Greco and I'm very nearly there. I've reached the point where it looks like all the finish is off, but I'm sure there's still patches which aren't down to the wood.

How can I be sure that I've got it all off? It's tricksy on this one because the finish was a red-yellow burst, so it could be very faintly yellow without me knowing it.

I'm fairly sure the holes for the tailpiece have residual finish, and also the space between the pickup cavities. But I also suspect there are other sneaky areas.

I don't mind keeping on sanding, but worried about over doing it when I've already got down to the wood.

Any input much appreciated.
