    I'll go first as I've been listening to all of them repeatedly as the playlist was updated  - the progression I thought was fairly tricky , I had to leave quite a bit of space in mine as my technical shortcomings meant I think I would have struggled to add any more notes without it sounding cluttered.

    Tip of the hat to everyone as although I have come up with my favourites I have voted as I liked the style of the solos, not because they are technically or harmonically better than the others - just because they are more 'my thing'.  The ones I left out were fantastic, properly impressive for example @stratman3142 's first half blew me away but the second half although technically impressive was less my style although I appreciate others my have the total opposite view on that.

    Anyway here goes -

    Bellycaster - 5
    Poopot - 3
    Dr Hungry - 1

    Option paralysis this month! Loads of good stuff here, each entry worthy of extended discussion about its subtleties and nuances...buuut nobody wants to read my ramblings so I'll skip to the bottom line:

    - The monstrous Wah of @maharg101 : 5 points

    - The sophisticated clean of @DrCornelius : 3 points

    - The exotic chromaticisms of @Bennyboy-UK : 1 point

  • 5 points : @DrCornelius : Understated expressive jazz/blues style. Sits nicely with the backing. Rich warm tone.

    3 points : @poopot : Interesting synth like sound. Nice bluesy style.

    1 point : @Bennyboy-UK :  Expressive style and interesting lines. A warm ('Clapton Woman tone') type sound.

    It's not a competition.

    All the entries were great, and a lot of effort went in - that was obvious. Tough to choose as there was a lot of variety - and I really like that!

    But for now:

    5 points - @Bellycaster ;;;
    3 points - @DrHungry ;;;
    1 point - @DrCornelius ;;;

    I'm always looking for interesting USA Hamers for sale.

    At the moment I'm looking for:
    * Hamer Watson, SS2, Vintage S, T62.
    * Music Man Luke 1, Luke II

    Please drop me a message.

    Very hard to choose - all of the entries made me think "I must learn that lick" and a range of lovely tones to admire. I agree - they're all great.

    5 points - @Bellycaster ;; - lovely melodic solo, harmonic content and dynamics are spot on
    3 points - @Bennyboy-UK ;;- thick tone, melodic and imaginative
    1 point - @poopot ;; - employing harmonizing technology with taste, put me in mind of Jeff Beck here and there
    This one goes to eleven

  • Definitely one of the toughest votes yet. Everyone played a blinder.

    5 Points @DrCornelius - Lovely smooth and mellow solo, great tone and style. Some lovely vibrato on the bends as well.

    3 Points @Bennyboy-UK - Some great inventive phrasing in there. Nice blend of Jazz, Blues, Fusion. Love the thick tone.

    1 Point @stratman3142 - Very diverse range of techniques here, really well executed. Nice flavour to go with the backing.

  • Voting end at midnight tomorrow.

    Does anyone want to provide a backing track for the next one? Otherwise I'll inflict one of mine on you again.

    It's not a competition.

    Sorry , still new to this home recording lark or I’d have a go. Give me a few months to get my head around GarageBand and I’ll be able to share the load a bit .

    Thanks !

    Happy for my RotM entry to be used at any point if you think it's suitable :)

    That reminded me that I was going to ask you, as I thought your RotM entry would be a good backing track.

    Yes let's go with that thanks.

    Could you PM me some specs for your track (tempo. chords etc), to save me a bit of time working them out for myself. But don't worry if it's too much trouble.

    It's not a competition.

  • I’d love to be able to make one to be used - I’ll do some more practicing in my DAW.

    ROTM seems a good place to create a possible backing - maybe I’ll start there.
