Change Strat Fret markers

I love my partscaster but I’d love it even more if it had those clay style dots. The white ones that Allparts put in as standard are out of keeping with the relic work elsewhere on the guitar. Has anyone done this to their Strat? If so how did you go about it?

yes.

if you drill out the center of the dot it should be easy to remove the rest. be aware some dots are deeper than others.. Warmoth plastic dots seem to go most of the way through the board, most are only a couple of mm

Then install the new ones as flush with the surface as possible to minimize cleanup. you may still need to file and scrape the board afterwards to level off between the frets. This is a bit fiddly, but not too bad with simple dots
