Ok, seems I have to go in September for a week, to do 45mins work, and was told no wifi available down there. Anyone been recently and know differently, be nice to send some pics and stuff home?

Seriously though, there is good internet access there and Wifi.

Does that mean I can use my BT app to use their hotspot or do I have to buy their cards? Cheers by the way.

I could ask some mates. When I last went in 2005 they'd just set up a new internet suite down next to the cinema that you could put your name down for, but that was on MPC. Are you staying in Stanley?

Staying at Mount Pleasant the the Raf camp. Will have a wander about, probably take my tele in hand luggage, and see if I can sit in with a band !

If you need any info regarding flights, luggage, or need a lift at all when you to get to the terminal give me a shout.
I'll email my buddy who is down there long term and ask about the WiFi tomorrow.
Edit: Sorry @SimonC I never read your post properly earlier. I thought as much with the WiFi...

You can get Wifi there. Its about £8 for 60 minutes. Spent 7 months of my life down there in 2012/13.

Anything you particularly wanted to know about the place?

Bloody hell that's not cheap is it? I was told I am not allowed to use the Naafi etc, also need to find out about visiting a few memorials and where they all are.

Are you allowed to use the messes though? If not you can get some up at the main guardroom. Actually cheaper than the Naafis.

Ah their mess is quite nice. You can get cards from behind the bar there. Drinks are dangerously cheap as well... Dont do a Madeline Moon and complain about the price of triple gin and tonic... We now drink triple gins in her honour and call them "Maddies"
