Vintage V120 Tuners

What's Hot
I just got a vintage v120, the les Paul junior style. The guitar is pretty good but lacks tuning stability. I’m going to change out the tuners and want to make sure I get ones that fit it.

it currently has Wilkinson WJ15 Deluxe machine heads.

Has anyone changed the heads on a v120?

Would normal kluson style fit?

Thanks

I'd be tempted to look at the nut and stringing method first.

The nut is a Graphtech NuBone and seems pretty decent. The strings look wound properly too. The machine heads feel a bit cheap and they look to be the problem.

    Yeah but no but …

A set of six individual Kluson replica 'heads will directly retrofit (including the bushing ferrule) but it will be necessary to drill some new fastening screw holes. You will also be left with four redundant screw holes.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
