this weekend I took the Seymour Duncan Hot rails out of my old strat and put it in a bitsa I built a bit back. The replaced the original pick up in the 63 strat.
The shrinkage in the old scratch plate is quite evident.
I did have a slight scare when I thought I caught the winding on the old pick up but it metered ok and sounds great now.
I may have to have a good think and a discussion with Jonathan about getting the original trem replaced.
Here is the bitsa with the hot rails in and a temporary pot, plain shaft hence the daft knob (oo er).
Don't touch that dial.
