I found the northwest nitro to be a little thicker than MGT, and it is quite susceptible to bloom. The nozzle becomes spitty easily so a clean every so often with thinners is helpful. Dartfords had a lot of solid, too much for my liking and coats went on too thick. MGT use anti-bloom solvent and I've always had great results with it having used it on about 6 guitars now.
And MGT's @SteveRobinson is a top chap and forum member too!
Having said that, I’ve used Northwest tinned paint and lacquer quite extensively over the years (only because Steve doesn’t stock it) and always found it to be top notch fwiw.

If I didn't think my lacquer was the best available I would not sell it. I use it every week myself for repairs, as do many other repairers. It's also used by a number of professional UK builders whose names you'll know.

I don't know how others such as Kevin at NWG manage to get around courier restrictions on paint.
Idea adapted from something we saw on Adam Savage's page
Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
