Up and running - first builds from the new workshop

What's Hot
Finally finished getting tooled up in the new place and started to build again.  First up are 2 very trad Teles - one with trad pickup configuration and one which will have a low output PAF in the neck position.  Took quite a few photos along the way so far so might put together a build thread ( with some gaps where i forgot to take any pics).
I am lucky to have a superb hardwood supplier about 10 minutes away from me now.  Lovely supplies of
american Ash for the bodies and american hard maple necks.
I already have 3 Teles but these 2 are really to see how accurately i can build to original spec
now that i have a better workshop set up

Nice to be making stuff again after moving house last year

Nice. I'm always envious of great workshops as I have the worst place imaginable.

Its quite a simple set up - with the main thing being the new bench i put together which has the dewalt table saw and router  table built in.  Theres also a space for a sliding mitre saw.  I bought the Triton thickness planer which i know a few other here use, the axminster luthiers vice ( which has so many uses ) and a budget spindle sander ( Von Haus) which has turned out to be really good.   Routers i use are the Trend T11 - mainly in the router table, and the makita RT700 for hand held use. The bench is large enough to store all the power tools underneath as well as straight edges and chisels etc.   all the other small tools are wall mounted for easy access - i got really fed up of having to rummage through plastic storage boxes to find stuff in the shed at my last place!
The main purchase was a bandsaw from Axminster.   Not large enought to resaw anything but ample for cutting most other things with a good blade in it

my favorite  tool is the old Fobco drill

Ive got a couple of large storage boxes full of templates now too - they seem to breed quickly!

A few pics of the stuff here - overall nothing very special though.  I’d love an overhead router set up - something like Grahams

Next on the list (after pay day) is one of the fuji sprays and at some point some dust extraction - i am tired of vac’ind up every day.

Nice looking workshop, did you ever tell us where you moved to? Somewhere in my workshop I have the plans to build your own overhead router, I shall keep looking.

Thanks Graham.  I’m in a small village just outside Ripon.  Nice surroundings for making stuff.  If you find those plans please let me know.

That’s a very long way away from me (I live on the south coast) so I won’t be dropping in for a coffee and a chat, but I will keep looking for the plans.
