Hi all ,

First world problems mean I need to raise some urgent funds . I left my Strat with Vintage and Rare in Bath in June for a no hurry commission sale but I am collecting it on Friday to stick it on EBay

I can’t post photos as I don’t have it on me but if you look on the V and R website it’s there in all it’s glory for £2250.

To save me sticking it on EBay does anyone want it for £1800 collected (Dorset) or £1850 shipped ?

If I’m breaking any photo related rules then no problem , I’ll take the post down and take some photos when it’s in my grubby paws. I don’t want to nick the V and R photos either or link to them as that feels a bit off.

    I've sold quite a few bits lately, nothing has sold on here - all via gumtree.  Hard times starting to bite maybe.

    Got to love a 70s strat, that was a decent price too.  Unfortunately I already have one!

    I’ve missed the EBay discount window so still FS here before it goes off for auction in a couple of weeks.

    - Upgraded Callahan bridge and trem

    - Currently has a Bareknuckle Sinner in the bridge but will include the ‘78 fender pickup too
    .
    - Had a refret and neck only respray way back when . The frets are lovely and chunky and make bends very easy in comparison to most 7.25 necks I’ve played

    - Cones with a generic hard case

    My mate has a 1977 hardtail. If much more of its tobacco sunburst poly finish flakes off, it will look like your natural ash example.

    Done before my time Funky although I usually use Merchants in Shaftesbury as he’s really reasonable (and good) . He charged me £140 ish to do my vintage Tele and I was very pleased 

    No idea what a neck respray would cost though , sorry .

    Con, I’m amazed this hasn’t sold at that price…

    My mate has one which looks like the brother of this one, and plays in a dead cool Ricky based band - BUT did all of his album with one of these.

    Thanks Waz , I’ve had a fair few Strats and this is the fattest sounding one by far , with the chunkiest neck - the neck pick-up has a real SRV sound to it. 

    I guess the 70s natural look isn’t everyone’s cup of tea though but I’ve had two like this as I quite dig it . I also like mocha brown Teles so maybe I’m just very unfashionable.
