    What's going on at the bridge end? Either it's been cut away to allow for the pickup, or the picture's a photoshop job.

    I’m going for photoshop, or at leat will fall into the “difficult to get intonation correct” category. Measuring on screen the bridge is 65mm from the 12th fret and the nut is then 45mm away. I know the 12th fret isn’t exactly half way but that seems too far out.

    True, but that one had a notes-per-second-ometer built in. Marr doesn’t have that.

    I've seen it before in a guitar mag, and it is real, although yes the pickups do seem to encroach on the bridge - and the end of the fretboard.  Maybe not all the pickups actually work?

    It's probably just a cover that's been cut to fit over the bridge where it encroaches. He should have stuck with 8, because everyone knows the 8 pickup model is better.

    Bigger picture - looks like the bridge may actually have been ground/filed away to make room.  And I'm guessing they're Kent Armstrong pickups.
