Edit: probably worth mentioning that you're not the only one. I am toying with the idea of studying Economics through the OU or someone similar. It's never to late in my book.
OTOH it an be too early. Remember that kid called Ruth something who went to Oxford aged 6 months or something equally crazy?

Right, first thing you do is go into the canteen, Jump up on the table and start reading Ginsberg's HOWL out loud. Student chicks will dig the mystery and wild man attitude of the Holn Machine and will be queuing up to suck you off. You'll be lucky if you get home in one piece in fact.

It worked for me without fail and I look like Jimmy Krankie.

It's all fine really. I felt pretty confident once I was there as most of them look like scared children. I'm doing engineering. There's a general foundation year this year, then I move on to a BEng in Mechanical Engineering.

Bit of a sausage fest tbh. There's a few girls, including a muslim. She's set for life with quotas needing to be filled. I think I'm the oldest though.

I didn't do any of the studenty things at uni. They kept engineers away fromt he town centre lol. I maybe took it too seriously... did well out of it, but maybe should have relaxed a bit more.
