FS PRS CE22 Sold Core Mira X £660 Sold

PRS USA CORE MIRA X £660 Sold
Having splashed out recently, fuelled by being stuck at home and languishing in self-pity I have to face up and pay the ferryman so this is back on the block.
You don't see too many of these around these days certainly not in this condition
Full fat PRS core for a very reasonable price, I think. Especially with current prices.
The other advantage of this Mira model depending on your perspective of course, is that it is the one of two Mira models available with PRS wide fat neck profile 24.5" scale and 22 frets - at least this is why I got it in the first place, and I have had 3 of these so will undoubtedly try and replace it down the road when the finances are more settled
unless I am mistaken, there is only the SC245 and P245 in the core range broadly that gets you 24.5”/22fret/wide fat recipe
The other thing I liked about the Mira X is that it has the burst finish on the back of the body as well, oh it is also very light!
Couple of compromises with the Mira X have been resolved with this one.
Firstly has Gotoh vintage locking tuners which are an upgrade from the original tuners, and make restringing a breeze.
Most importantly are the pickups.
Mira X come with 245 as standard with NO coil tap - never liked these pickups especially without coil tap
This one is fitted with Seymour Duncan alnico pro II for the pre signature Slash type classic rock tones and has a CTS pull/push pot fitted for single coil type sounds, and to my ears these are far more usable than I was expecting
Rewiring included a CTS pot
Very light knock on the edge of the headstock - very common with PRS
Being pernickety, if you look really closely and turn to the light there are some light indentations on the body
But broadly In really fine condition and you really have to look for those indentations and let’s face it, it is a PRS to dig in and play for hours not ‘hold carefully in case you drop it private stock’ kind of a thing….
looking for £660 (firm) on here which imo is top value, but time will tell……
PRS CE22 2002 Trem Sold
Adding a Paul Reed Smith CE22 as I need more funds than expected
also the guitar I really didn’t want to put on the block so may change my mind, sorry about that…..
In generally very good condition given that it is 20 years old
Minor ding on the back of the neck, I never feel it when playing but being upfront and all that, light buckle rash on the back of the body if you turn it to the light and some very minor marks on the top if you look really hard.
small ding on the binding - again not too bad and looks worse in the pictures, more of a feel it rather than see it size
Tiny bit of fretwear on 2 and 3rd fret under g string
Again not a big deal but I like to be transparent as much as I can
But generally in very good shape and priced to sell accordingly on here
complete with original hard case which has a few marks but is in better condition than most PRS cases I have seen from 2002
All stock
Comfortable wide fat neck - Subtle flame
Classic Cherry sunburst - again with tasteful but subtle flame
PRS Dragon II pickups
Full fat PRS for £1000 which despite the honest appraisal above is stonking value for a stock PRS for quick sale
Earlier CE are great value imo given the current market for PRS customs
cup of tea waiting in Nottingham for a test drive, otherwise could get a lift to meet up to an hour away
£1000 on here - only trades atm would be for an MJW Orion, Roadstar Twin or very similar with cash coming my way (Trade value £1100) Head ideal but 1x12 doable - no space for another 2x12!
