Drill for trem claw

I need a drill to put my trem claw in, I’m thinking I need something around 3mm / 1/8 inch and 300mm long. Toolstation and screwfix don’t seem to sell anything.

Any hacks to do this or who is a good supplier for the right bit?

Wealden do long drills, but 3mm at 300mm is a bit extreme.

Thanks. Yes, it probably is.

The 190mm might just about do it.

It’s one of those odd jobs that nothing ordinary will do for.

I can put the fact that you used that bloody word (hack

) aside and offer a link to the last set I purchased (I wore out my previous 2 and 3mm bits).

I drill all the trem claw holes on my strat bodies, the bits I’ve linked you to work nicely.

I use 3mm x 150mm in a Dremel. Protect the back end of the cavity and you can get a nice low angle.

Yeah I did wonder if a Dremel would be easier with the smaller chuck. Lent mine out a while ago and never came back so might have to re invest. I’m just using a standard battery driver, but the chuck is quite big.
