Despite completely understanding that component count and costs are only tangentially related, the fact that a Super Hard On (for example) costs £150 for the vexter version just makes my head hurt. It's got about three components for goodness sake.
Pedal costs are much more heavily governed by things like wages, marketing costs, equipment costs, manufacturing space, R&D spend, etc. However as much as the rational part of my brain gets that, the irrational bit definitely gets annoyed at the concept of £300 rangemasters
