SCAMMER WARNING: Due to a spate of recent scam attempts (some successful) recently, if you're doing a deal in the classifieds, ONLY USE PAYPAL GOODS AND SERVICES UNLESS YOU KNOW THAT INDIVIDUAL PERSONALLY. It's really not worth saving a few quid.
NOW SOLD: Edwards (ESP) "Jimmy Page" Les Paul 2008, Factory Relic, Bare Knuckle, Gotoh
What's Hot
I bought this Edwards JP LP a couple of weeks ago from
@Nerine. ;;;;;; It is up for sale again! I have been playing acoustics for the 5 or so years due to issues with my hands and hearing but decided to have one last crack at electrics and it hasn't worked out sadly. After a couple of hours playing last night I had horrendous pains in my ears so that put the kybosh on it. Total bummer but there you go.
This is a really superb guitar and just can't find fault with it. I have done a full set up to GIbson specs and installed a set of nickel Gibson Brightwires. The action is set at 2mm on the bass side at the 12th and 1.5mm on the treble side at the 12th. Truss rod has been set at .8000 at the 8th fret and the truss rod moves freely in both directions. Intonation is spot on. I have adjusted pickup height to my preference but that is easily changed.
Frets have very little wear and the neck is a joy to play.
Pickups have been changed to Bare Knuckle Stormy Mondays and the original Seymour Duncan pickups (SH5 and SH1) are included in the case. The Stormy Mondays are just amazing.
Bridge and stop tail are Gotoh as are the tuners.
The wiring harness has been upgraded to a Bill Nash harness with a coil tap option. Rather than having a switch or a push/pull pot to tap the pickups this loom has an ingenious solution which involves using each tone pot. The tone pot for each pickup works as it would normally do between 0 and 8-9 but once you go beyond that point it silently taps the coil. There is no click as you sometimes get with a switch or push/pull pot. To re-engage both coils of the humbucker you just roll it off back to 8-9 and that's it. Beautifully simple and works incredibly well.
The body is one piece solid mahogany with a 0.5" solid maple cap. The guitar weighs 7.4lbs on my digital scales and yet the body dimensions are correct for a LP so they have just used amazingly light wood for this limited run of guitars. They all seem to be between 7lbs and 8lbs as far as I can see. The factory wear on these guitars is identical to JPs '59 LP apparently.
Comes with a very decent Gator case.
I have used the photos
@Nerine put in his post, hope that's OK?! Have also added a couple of my own. If you need any other shots please just ask.
I would like £700 for the guitar. I am happy to ship but would prefer that whoever buys it organizes a courier although I can do that if necessary. I am based in Ely in Cambridgeshire and would be very happy for anybody to come and try it and have a cuppa, I have Marshall combo to put it through or bring your own amp. We are just over an hour from London on the train and dead easy to get to by car.
I have just tried to embed photos but for whatever reason they are coming up as links?! The 'save image as' option has now disappeared in Imgur so used the BB Code instead but clearly not the right option!! If anybody can tell me which option to choose I will re-load the photos.
