To be honest, all I need is a good octaver and compressor and I'm looking and hoping to try out both at the mo. The TC Spectracomp looks good but I need to try a Demeter. The Octaver one is proving more difficult.
EDIT: after trying several octavers (Aguilar, MXR, Keeley, Wampler, Laney) I settled on the original EBS Octaver and it does the 'Sledgehammer' and 'Sorrow' (Pink Floyd/Guy Pratt) thing really well. Generally, I found all octavers 'got the warble' and not-so-good tracking below a low A.
Next, the right compressor and the TC Spectracomp is looking good and when I first put up the post, I didn't get to try it as planned.
Edit 2: added this year, an EBS Microbass 3 (clean, dirt, tuner and compression) and a Source Audio Spectrum Filter for funky, synthetic, octave and mutron stuff but both are up for sale in classifieds as not needed
Polytune mini
Origin Cali76 Bass (always on)
Boss OC5 (occasionally)
MXR Flanger (very occasionally)
Origin Bassrig SuperVintage (always on)
I'm very happy with that lot, either on a Nano or Nano+ depending on whether I need the octave & flange. Dead simple and sounds huge.
Behringer SF-300 Super Fuzz.
That's it. (And a TC clip-on tuner.)
The SF-300 replaced the FZ-2 because you can buy at least six replacement SF-300s for the price of one FZ-2, and they sound identical.

I bought the ODB3 used and whatever mod was done has made it a bit all or nothing. Not sure what a stock unit would sound like.
I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd
Seymour Duncan Double Back comp
Whammy Ricochet pitch
Boss OC2 octave
Fulltone OCD dist
Xotic BB preamp
Line 6 M9 delays, filters, modulation, tuner
TC Electronic Ditto X2 looper
Aphex Bass Xciter enhancer
If you want to make a Moog player scared, that will do it.
One of these days I might add a fuzz and a hi pass filter, but otherwise my bass pedal GAS is fully satiated.
Get to the Taurus.

I'm tempted to spend Xmas pressie dosh and replace the VT with either the Ampeg SGT-DI or the Darkglass Microtubes Infinity. Both sound amazing in demos, and the Darkglass leads with features but is more expensive. Anybody here with experience of either? Probably more of a question for Basschat I guess
