TRADED TODAY (10/12/23)

So, chances are I’m not gonna do anything with this asides keep it. It’s absolutely phenomenal and honestly, could be the nicest guitar I’ve ever played - and I’ve played a LOT over the years. Yup, it’s THAT good. 

However, with a combination of imposter syndrome (my skills are more Harley Benton-ish than PJE!), binging Zappa (I need an SG!) and having recently completed a Strat build for a friend, it’s gotten my GAS levels up quite a lot and I’ve played this for only a few hours since I acquired it. 

I should really just play it more!

That said though, this is far and away my most valuable guitar so if I’m seriously thinking about acquisitions, this is the only one which would really hold any weight with the cognoscenti here. 

It’s in pretty much spotless condition really; the previous owners have taken great care and I’ve treated it like a favourite child in my custody. 

As I’ve not really thought about this properly, I don’t really have a portfolio of pictures, but if there’s serious interest (and I haven’t withdrawn), I’d be happy to take more pics / video / guided tour or whatever. 

Spec-wise, it’s a one-piece swamp ash body, has the modern compound radius ‘shallow C’ (but isn’t super skinny at all) flame maple neck, ebony board with Jescar 57110 frets, hotter-wound Mojo humbuckers (which tap wonderfully), ABR bridge with KTS titanium saddles, locking Gotoh tuners…the whole thing oozes premium quality. 

So I’m not really looking at a sale, but by all means will hear offers.

Trade-wise, I’m really open to anything. A nice SG or Strat (or similar S-type from the usual suspects) would definitely pique my interest, but yeah. Try me!

    Thanks for the assist there, @imalrightjack! It’s a wonderful instrument and I might well end up keeping it. Quite literally can’t fault it, just got a wandering eye!

    Yeah, I get that. The middle pickup on an HSH sounds great in the split positions, but it’s a pain in the grapes as it’s exactly where I pick!

    It’s quite difficult to get the proper colour to come out! But @imalrightjack seems to have captured the essence - it’s black, but a sort of greyish in certain lights. In trying to bring out the detail in the guard, the contrast can make the body appear darker - but the collection @imalrightjack posted is probably the best representation of how it looks in most lights. More than happy to take pics or video for interested parties, jump on a video call or whatever too if need be. :)
