The reason they are all sold out is because every poxy YouTube guitar channel has got one and is posting reviews of them, FFS

I'm going to respray my regular gold Tumnus and sell it for a squillion quid, they sound the same.

I'm just so glad I'm not a fan of the Klon-style overdrive. I've owned several originals and they were good drive pedals, just the hype now for Klon-style overdrives is ridiculous.

Still own a Klone that came from here years ago and sounds the same as my original pedals. All the Klon pedals I owned, sounded slightly different anyway, especially at gig volumes.

  • Annoyingly the vendor took more orders than they had stock and cancelled my order  :p

  • I'm so over Klons and their klones. Most (all) of the ones I've tried sound pretty much the same, and it's not a sound I like much with my setup. I probably shouldn't have clicked on this post I suppose.

    I'll see myself out. :)

I'm sure they'll start springing up on Ebay/Reverb next year for not much more than RRP. It'll be the Kevin Shields Blender all over again - people caught up in the hype and paying 5x what the pedals worth for a few months and then a return to normality

  • So are we saying that it's really difficult to find the correct germanium diodes? Or, is it just hyped up nonsense?

Oh look, you can buy germanium 1N34A diodes on eBay:

10 x 1N34A Germanium Point Contact Detector Diode FM AM TV Radio Detection 10pcs | eBay

I think the total limited availability will keep prices permanently high on these, tbh.

It seems to be that nothing is like the original. Except for a select few companies which are. But not quite. But sort of.

  • I think the original Tumnus sounds better in the vids.

I A/B' this pedal with my Decibelics, the Decibelics was better to my ears and to the disappointment of my friend (the tumnus owner) too.

At this point it's incredible boring having so many klons in the market, it's just silly and overused
