    It seems to me that you're happy to donate, but don't wnat the junk mail, so can you not tell them that? Maybe a phone call could get you off the mailing list?
    But then they'd be taking his money and using it to send junk mail to other people ... he wouldn't even get the junk that he'd paid for.

    Once a charity is big enough to advertise on national telly, they don't need ordinary people money.

    Cancer charities need the money (for one).
    Or do you mean that their need is so great that they need state or private money - pretty sure you don't mean that.
