    It's also an odd price if it's cheap because he wants a quick sale. £430? Most people pick nice round numbers… like £500, £400 or possibly £450.

    These kind of slightly odd prices, just a bit too cheap but still a fair bit of money, in out-of-the-way places (compared to London, anyway - I know Stockton isn't really remote) to encourage mail order, are very often scams.

    Yes.  Easy way to flush them out - "I live locally and I'd like to come and see it".  If it's a scam you'll get an excuse why he isn't available to show it and an invitation to send money and he'll post it.

    Well it was dodgy! 

    I emailed the fella through Gumtree late last night and received an email off Gumtree this afternoon saying its scam!

    Here's what you do to find out if its a scam, hover over the picture, right click and select search google for this image, that way you know if the pics have been ripped off another site.
