Moving into a new flat, I sold my AC10 and resolved to make do with the Yamaha THR desktop amp we already had between us (partner uses it with her bass)… but resolutions be damned! The UAFX Dream 65 is a fantastic pedal. When I tried it in-store, it sounded superb through a larger FRFR, and for home use here (using the flat setting on the THR) it’s perfect.
Just wondered how other users found these UA amp sim pedals reacted to compressors, does it still help the notes pop out more and give your sound something extra (as they can do with a valve amp)? Tentatively looking at bringing a Cali76 CD back again in place of the SHO at the start of the chain.
Also thinking I’d like to add the Ruby or the ‘68 Lion, if they’re as great as the Dream.
Valves?? What are valves???
