Heistercamp's locking system

Does anyone use Heistercamp straps with their two piece locking system? How secure is it?

I'm thinking of getting one of their webbing straps as it will match a guitar nicely, but I'm concerned about not being able to use my standard Grolsch rings!

Thanks

    I haven't used it as like you I'm a diehard Grolsch guy. But it looks good for anyone who doesn't like the Grolsch thing

    I’ve got a few, looked to work well - but I use schallers, so I’ve cut the second tab off with scissors.

    Agree, it does look neat, just wondering if it is as secure.

    I guess cutting off the underneath tab is always an option if I'm not convinced, thanks @mrkb ;

    The extra tags are good quality leather so cut easily with good scissors.

    Good to know, that looks sufficiently neat.

    Thanks for chipping in @WindmillGuitars ;

    Unless anyone turns up with a horror story, I may have been convinced  :)

    I have one of those Heistercamp ‘Catalyst’ straps - it works well - you 100% won’t need the grolsch washer.
    If you mean that you really like the washer and want to keep using it, no reason to get the Catalyst in the first place.

    They are nowhere near as chunky and ‘nice’ feeling as the full fat Heistercamps (if that’s important)
    Red ones are better.

    I use their Catalyst straps all my guitars. Absolutely zero issues with them coming unstuck in the years I've had them.

    I will say though the dyes Heistercamp use are a bit loose (for want a better term...!). A couple of white and grey t-shirts been donated to the rag pile due to stains over the left shoulder!

    @abw1989 That’s a bit off-putting.

    Is that after a sweaty gig or even just after playing for periods at home?

    I'm a bad practicer, I don't stand up at home when practicing  :#

    But a two hour studio practice or a gig, yeah I noticed it.
