For Sale: Guild Starfire III Newark Street hollow body - price drop to £795
What's Hot
For sale is a Guild Newark Street Collection Starfire III with original hard case. This guitar is a hollow body, single-cutaway electric with a Guild-branded Bigsby tailpiece and a pair of Guild's own HB-1 pickups, which are not quite a humbucker as seen on Gibsons and not quite a Gretsch Filtertron.
This is a sort of reissue of the 1960s Guild Starfire. The guitar is really nicely made with nice details such as brass indicators for the knobs, a lovely rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets at 24.75" scale length. The guitar is in excellent condition and has a bit of normal play wear. The frets are in excellent condition and the only marks are light, honest surface wear and nothing through the finish. Below are some specs and measurements of the guitar:
Year: 2016
Weight: 6 lbs, 4 oz
Neck shape: "C"
Fretboard radius: 9.5"
Nut width: 1.67"
5th fret width: 1.87"
7th fret width: 1.94"
12th fret width: 2.12"
1st fret depth: .86"
5th fret depth: .89"
7th fret depth: .92"
12th fret depth .99"
(all measured from top of fret to back of neck)
Fret height: 0.065"
Fret width: 0.091"
It is a really great guitar that plays and sounds great, I am just not giving it the play time it deserves. Asking £795. Can be viewed or collected in West Finchley, or I would be happy to pack it safely for collection by a courier.
Trades for guitars, amps, and effects considered.
