Version 4 of the Boss software has just dropped. Main thing is new high gain amps and bass amps.

I don’t use the amp modelling on the GT1000 Core so unless there is any new fx being introduced I may not bother to update. It’s a nightmare to update anything with Boss.

Not really.

On the latest ones you plug in a USB cable and copy some files across like its a memory stick.

It's pretty easy these days. You mount the GT-1000 as a flash drive and just copy the files across and reboot.
